There are two main types of common gold ore: quartz vein type gold ore and sulfide gold ore. Yantai Xinhai Mining Machinery Co., Ltd., as a domestic company with relatively mature gold beneficiation technology, its technicians gave the following two commonly used ores Process:
1. Quartz vein type gold ore: The beneficiation process of quartz vein type gold ore is mainly cyanidation and flotation. The determination of the process mainly depends on the particle size of gold and the symbiotic relationship with other minerals. In the case that the surface of the ore is contaminated or there is a thin film of free gold, a part of the gold can be recovered by jig-gravity separation to reduce the grade of tailings and reduce the cyanide leaching time.
When the ore has good floatability, the flotation of quartz-containing gold ore can produce tailings similar to the cyanidation process. The flotation tailings are ground and then floated, which can increase the flotation recovery rate. In most cases, the cyanidation method is commonly used in quartz vein type gold ore. The main considerations are the fineness of the ore grinding, the concentration of cyanide in the slurry, and the leaching time. At the same time, in order to reduce the amount of cyanidation operations, the flotation concentrate re-cyanidation process can be used.
2. Sulfide gold-bearing ores: Most gold-bearing sulfide ores can be treated by flotation, and some can also be treated by cyanidation, or combined methods, or mercury mixing, re-election or combined processes can also be used.
The choice of flotation or cyanidation process depends on the recovery rate of gold and the degree of comprehensive utilization of associated minerals. If the ore contains more coarse gold, it must be pre-selected because the coarse gold is in the cyanide solution It is difficult to dissolve, and it is also difficult to recover by flotation. When the surface of the gold particles is clean and there are no harmful components in the ore, the amalgamation method is more effective than the gravity separation method. In production practice, the commonly used process for beneficiation of gold-bearing sulfide ore is: flotation first, and the flotation concentrate can be directly cyanidized or re-grinded and then cyanidized, or treated with gravity separation and mercury mixing.
